About Me
I am currently undertaking my PhD in History at the University of Southampton. My PhD research is lookinginto Alfred Russel Wallace's stance with regards to compulsory vaccination. From the early-1880s Wallace began to publish anti-vaccination works. However, by and large these have been overlooked by scholars.
Previously I have done work on Wallace's proto-feminism and his socialism which I hope to return to in the future.
I am also currently researching into Wallace and his relationship with botany. Botany was a significant part of his life but its importance is often overlooked. Anyone interested in the history of nineteenth-century botany, please do contact me using the form below.
